Valentine's Day Love -- Trooper goes to his new home

The couple who have adopted Trooper seem like a very good fit for him and vice versa.  A nice Valentine's Day gift!

So lately...

Trooper has enjoyed playing in the freshly fallen snow (but not too long).  He plays a lot with Wallace, and really enjoyed visiting with the neighbor's children.

He likes this toy a lot...

Trooper's News

Chipped and snipped as they said at the clinic -- Trooper went in on Friday with sister Poppy for checkups, chip insertion and spay/neutering.  Poppy went off to her new home the next day.  We miss her a bit, but Trooper seems happy to have the run of the space he used to share.  Also enjoying bonding time with foster big brother Wallace -- they went on a nice leash walk around the block this morning.

Trooper's song

Big News!

Poppy has found a home -- her new family will be picking her up next week.  Someone is out there for Trooper, too...

A good day

Well, yesterday was a good day!  We got to go outside again 'cause it's not so cold anymore.  Also we made this video .

Welcome to Puppies At Play, a little blog about two puppies looking for a home.

Meet Poppy

and Trooper

Big sister Poppy and brother Trooper are the largest of a litter born to sweet Maisey on Veteran's Day (Nov. 11).  They are currently in foster care with us, a family of three welcoming humans and a somewhat skeptical, but tolerant, miniature schnauzer named Wallace.

Poppy and Trooper are good company, for each other and for us.  Both are affectionate, cuddly little puppies.  Poppy is curious and adventurous, and responds quickly to instructions. Trooper is a little more cautious, but if something is going on, he definitely wants to be part of the fun.

They haven't been outside much in the last week, due to the arctic conditions, so are being trained on puppy pads, and are getting there.  They are also learning to leash walk.

We need to get more chew toys, which they love.  Wallace snuck off with their favorites and gobbled them up.
